Our Historical Events

Flin Flon, Manitoba is a true mining town, a town built on rock. Shafts and smokestacks dominate the skyline.

Callinan Mines is a vital part of the town's mining heritage. They have been and are still involved in both of the major producing claims in town. The wealth of these resources helped established the town and carry it through the Great Depression.

The original shareholders of Callinan Mines are mine workers from Flin Flon. They were aware first hand of the value of the Copper and Zinc deposit, and there was a consensus among them that the resource should be owned by the townspeople. Today, many still own the stock.

Hudson's Bay Mining and Smelting, the producers of both the 777 and the Callinan project, have historically had great interest in the claim that joins the two claims, The War Baby (Owned 100% by CAA).

In 1996, HBM&S drilled 2 holes, one on either side of The War Baby. They have yet to release the results.

The current management team took over operations in 1996. President and CEO Mike Muzylowski.s professional track record is long and accomplished. He has been instrumental in the discovery and production of 15 mines. During his tenure, he hopes to see the company get true value for all of their current assets including the War Baby and the Fox River Claims.
